Improved object pickup

Ability to pick up an object anywhere along it's collider, so it appears more natural when it's being held. Useful for objects like musical instruments where it may be held in different positions, or objects that are used to interact with other objects to control other elements in the world.

This should already be possible with free grab

this is already possible, You just have to enable the free grip on the pickup, if someone set it as origin grip, there's not much you can do about it

i think he means an option to disable rotate constraint on the origin point

Yeah I think that kind of describes what I mean. I'm working on a world with pickup muscial instruments but the pickup isn't natrual and has items floating or rotating in strange ways, I'm not sure how to get around that. (how do I make it work like that other place) 🙂
