The creator program
In the last months we have thought about how to improve the flow of content creation for those, who actively deliver public content for our community.
We came up with the idea of creating a special community for those helping us to make ChilloutVR a great place to be.
We are hereby announcing the Creator Program.
The goal of the creator program is, to assist creators with their creations and work closely with those creating public content for all of you.
Innovation and variety shall be supported, right?
The creator program is a community program, this means that users will have to apply to become a member of it.
We will look into each of the applications and accept those, who contribute to a better platform.
What does ABI get by creating this program:
- Better interaction with the creator community
- Better feedback on updates
- Early bug reports to ensure flawless releases
What creators will receive by joining the program:
- A small amount of free unlocked accounts
- Early access to new creator tools
- Access to the creator program discord server
What will the community receive in exchange:
- More frequent content releases (Worlds, Avatars, Props)
- Better stability for CCK updates when they release
- Better public content quality
Please note, that the creator program is meant for creators that create public content. If you are uploading private content only, this program is not for you as we want to encourage those who have the know how to make stunning content for the platform as a whole, not just for themselves.
As a short summary, we will be in more active talk with creators, which will then be able to make better content for everyone in the community, fair deal, right?

I'm in! How can I join the program?
Woah, not that fast! We appreciate your interest in the program but we have some requirements we have to tell you about before you can join.
To ensure that you are what we are looking for, please make sure you meet the requirements below:
- At least one public world, prop or avatar or a finished publication candidate
- Not in direct contractual affiliation with any competing organization or game
- Age of majority (at least 18, might be higher depending on country of residence)
But what if I already bought the unlocked account?
The unlocked account is and will always be an item to purchase, but we want to reward those making content for the community as a whole and encourage creation. In the end, everyone on the platform will benefit from the change as it will increase the amount of content being created - especially the amount of content available when new features are released!
If you are accepted into the creator program, you will still get a few unlocks you can give to your friends.
Will this case some people to feel elitistic?
We want to reward creators that love their work, not those who only want to join to feel special. Everyone bragging about being a member of the creator program will be removed without an option to re-apply.
Will this cause longer wait times for regular users?
No, as will use this program to test preview features, which helps us to be able to release them faster. The creator program will not give any earlier access to features not meant for creators.
Will there be a way i can buy myself into this program?
No! That would forfeit the purpose of the creator program. To become a member of the creator program, you have to earn it by creating great content for the community. If you want to join just to say you are one of the few, this program is not for you.
Where are the other community programs that were announced a while back?
Ah, we did not forget about those! We are currently working on getting the corresponding application processes implemented.
Back then we had to prioritize more important tasks on the roadmap that more users could benefit from.
The applications for the other community programs will open with the next hub update - not too long anymore!
